The 2019 Para Pato “Dos”, a 50/50 blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot, spent 16 months in barrel on undisturbed lees. Sourced entirely from the organically farmed 41-year-old vines of Giff Vineyard in Santa Ynez, this is a light red with a great deal of depth. The tropical aromatics and lifted acid of Sauvignon Blanc bring the top notes, while Merlot’s bright fruit and textural depth hit the mids and bass. Unfined and unfiltered. Hand bottled by gravity.
The inspiration behind Para Pato:
Mar’s dad, Fausto “El Pato” Sosa. This slideshow features his musical work with Grupo Anhelo, a group he formed with Mar’s uncles in the late 80’s.
