It’s been a few years since we bottled a varietally designated Albariño, and this is a gorgeous return to form for one of our favorite grapes. Sourced once again from My Friend Matt’s Vineyard in the heart of Santa Ynez, it is full of jasmine and honeysuckle, with a taut, briny edge. It spent just a few hours on skins and was then basket-pressed to a single neutral oak barrel. We imagine throwing on Witch’s classic LP Lazy Bones!!, grabbing a huge plate of oysters, and taking the afternoon off.
